Mackin Medical is the area distributor for Accordion Medical. Accordion medical manufactures breakthrough devices that prevent stone retropulsion during Laser lithotripsy. There is also a specialized version used during a PCNL. 

 

The beauty of this device is that is seals the ureter, not allowing stone fragments or irrigation to pass into the kidney. Thus, flushing everything down toward the bladder. The device is then removed, sweeping the remaining fragments out of the ureter, eliminating the need for a stone basket in most cases.
